Mike is the CEO and Founder of  the 1821 Studios Network. He is also co-host of Fireside History presented by the Luzerne County Historical Society, The Fire and Ice Podcast, and Playing with Matches. Currently, he teaches History and Civics/Economics at Wilkes-Barre Area High School and is treasurer for the Wilkes-Barre Area Education Association.

In his community, he is the past financial secretary and recording secretary for St. Conrad's YMS, he is a former advisory board member for Luzerne County Children and Youth, a former member of the board of directors for the Luzerne County Historical Society, and Past President of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.

In 2017, he was featured in the Times Leader's "20 Under 40" list.

The Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce named her Influencer of the Year in 2019. In 2020, the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal included her on its list of the top 25 women in business. The same magazine put her on its Top 20 under 40 list in 2017.

Through Coal Creative, she co-founded NEPA Creative, a collective to support innovators and doers through monthly meetups. She also co-founded Coal Lab Productions, a film company, which produced its first short film, “blackhole.,” in 2019.

She’s a certified life coach and spent three years as a public speaker. She earned her Master of Education degree from the University of Akron and bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton.

I love to give back to my community and making others smile.  If I can make someone's day a little brighter then it is a good day for me.  Every day I go to work for Miller Keystone Blood Center to build relationships and establish blood drives in our Northern Territory.  In doing this we at Miller Keystone and our donors get to give patients in need of life saving blood products another day to be here on this earth.

My passion comes from working 20 years in health care and seeing the daily need for blood products.  In addition to healthcare, I have managed and worked in varies retail stores as my secondary source of employment for just as long as I spent in healthcare.
