2026 STARS of the Valley Awards

This summer, the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the second annual STARS of the Valley Awards, where we will recognize those making a difference in our community through their Service, Transformation, Advancement, Resilience, and Support. Take a look at the awards to be presented below to see the criteria and how to submit your nomination.

The final deadline for nominations is Sunday, May 3rd at 11:59 PM.

Community Service Award

The Community Service Award is awarded to someone who stands out as an exceptional volunteer leader within their community. This individual goes beyond just fulfilling basic volunteer duties- they make a profound impact through their actions, commitment, and positive influences.

Community Transformation Award

The Community Transformation Award celebrates an individual who spearheads significant, positive changes in the community by leading transformative initiatives that champion workforce development, foster business expansion, and cultivate entrepreneurial success, driving economic growth and enhancing the quality of life in Northeastern PA.

Community Advancement Award

The Community Advancement Award is awarded to an individual or organization that actively enhances our region’s economic vitality, quality of place, and overall community well-being. This person or organization has championed community advancement and economic growth through advocacy, fostering partnerships, and creating pathways for success for all.

Community Resilience Award

The Community Resilience Award is awarded to an individual in public service who actively works towards the betterment and progress of our area through their resilience and dedication to the betterment of society.

Community Support Award

The Community Support Award is awarded to a non-profit organization that has demonstrated strong support and exceptional commitment to making a positive impact in the Greater Wyoming Valley community or beyond through charitable work.

*Please note this award will be replacing the original Charitable Organization of the Year Award, which was traditionally given out at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner in November.*

2026 Community Celebrations

We Want to Recognize Our Nonprofit Members' Incredible Milestones!

If your nonprofit organization is celebrating a milestone anniversary in 2026, we would love to hear from you. Let us know of how many years the organization is celebrating in 2026, and nominate them for our community anniversary recognitions, to be presented at our STARS of the Valley Awards on Friday, July 17th.
