HONORING HOMETOWN HEROES: SALUTE TO SERVICE SUITE 

RETURNS TO MOHEGAN ARENA FOR 11TH SEASON

Nominations Now Open for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins' 2026-27 Hockey Season  

WILKES-BARRE TWP., Pa. (September 4, 2026) — Game night just got more meaningful. The Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are proud to announce the return of the Salute to Service Suite Program for the 2026-27 AHL hockey season, marking the eleventh consecutive year of giving local military members and first responders the VIP treatment they deserve.

Now entering its second decade, the Salute to Service Suite has provided a memorable game-day experience to more than 4,000 military personnel and first responders since its debut in the 2015-16 season. The program continues to grow as one of the most meaningful traditions at Mohegan Arena, shining a spotlight on the individuals whose courage and sacrifice make community life possible. This season, the Salute to Service Suite is once again proudly sponsored by L.T. Verrastro and Coors Light, organizations that are committed to honoring those who serve.

Through the Salute to Service Suite program, local military members and first responders can be nominated to enjoy a Penguins home game in style, complete with luxury seating, VIP parking, and community gratitude. Each selected honoree receives twelve suite tickets, three VIP parking passes, a complimentary snack package, and in-game recognition, creating a worry-free night of fun and celebration with family, friends, and fellow heroes. Recipients are chosen at random throughout the season.

"For eleven seasons now, this program has given us a way to honor the people who put everything on the line for our community and our country. Providing them with this experience is one small way we can show the gratitude they so deeply deserve. We're especially grateful to Coors Light and L.T. Verrastro for stepping up to make this season possible."

Nominations are now open to the public for the 2026-27 season and can be submitted online at Mohegan Arena's website at moheganarenapa.com. Anyone, including family members, friends, coworkers, or neighbors may nominate a local hero. A nomination does not guarantee selection.

In addition to the suite program, all active and retired military members and first responders, including police, firefighters, and EMTs, will continue to receive 25% off select concession items at all permanent venue-managed stands by showing their ID at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins games, as well as at concerts and family shows.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are also offering special ticket pricing for active military. With a Military ID, active service members can purchase Red Zone tickets for $31, Orange Zone tickets for $28, Green Zone tickets for $24 and Blue Zone tickets for $20, available in-person at the NBT Bank Box Office at Mohegan Arena. Individual game tickets for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins regular season are now on sale.

Specialty group pricing is also available for frontline workers, including military and first responders, during the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins' Frontline Workers Appreciation Night on Opening Night, Friday, October 3, and Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, February 13. Season ticket packages, including full-season memberships, 22-game, 12-game, and Flexbook plans, are available by contacting the Penguins directly at (570) 208-7367.
